Chewing mint or cinnamon flavored chewing gum, eating sunflower seeds, rinsing with lemon juice and water, rinsing with salt water, and drinking hot tea are also recommended as home remedies for bad breath. Strategies for cleaning the mouth, probably better as chronic bad breath home remedies, include rinsing solutions made from hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and salt; just straight 3 percent hydrogen peroxide; or tiny amounts of Tea tree oil, an essential oil distilled from the leaves of the Australian Tea tree. These substances have some antibacterial properties - do not swallow them however: they are not meant to be taken internally.

Unripe guava is helpful in halitosis. It is a good source of tannic, malic, oxalic, and phosphoric acids as well as calcium, oxalate, and manganese. Chewing it is a great tonic for the teeth and gums. It assists cure bleeding from gums and stops bad breath. Chewing tender leaves of guava tree also end bleeding from gums and bad breath.

Parsley is a precious Cure for bad breath. Two cups of water must be boiled and several twigs of parsley, coarsely cut, should be steeped in this water along with two or three whole cloves or a quarter teaspoon of ground cloves. This infusion should be stirred occasionally while cooling. It must then be strained and it can be used as a mouthwash or gargle many times in a day.

You can also reduce the amount of protein that you take in. Proteins and meat are known to cause bad breath. When you cut out some of this stuff that I have mentioned, you are on your way to getting rid of bad breath. One thing that has been found to reduce the amount of bad breath is sugarless yogurt. Recent studies show that sugarless yogurt reduces the compounds found in bad breath. So, sugarless yogurt is a known home remedy for bad breath.
